Andrea Mondin brand was created in 2016. In his debut the designer presents a luxury shoe collection strongly rooted in the Venetian tradition. Theme and inspiration are drawn from the Venetian costumes and the handmade manufacturing traditions. The ruff motif, main character of the Italian and European fashion of the Sixteen and Seventeen centuries decorates the most of the models and it is interpreted in different shapes and manufactured with different materials by the designer. From the conception to the production, the work has been long and precise and it has required different handmade and technical abilities. The first ruff prototype comes from Venice and it is the result of the collaboration with a designer of La Fenice theatre. The shoe is made in an Italian area that excels in the shoe-manufacturing process, in a historic company in Parabiago, a city near Milan.
