Bróg
Danieli Bergin
Bróg was founded in 2023 by Danieli, a Brazilian shoe designer who has called Ireland home for nearly twenty years. Bróg blends Irish tradition with contemporary design—its name, “Bróg,” means “shoe” in Gaelic, and the O in the logo features the Irish fada accent, also found on the insole and sole as a signature detail.
Bróg stands for three core values: heritage, elegance, and empowerment. The brand is dedicated to creating unique, story-driven shoes with timeless appeal. Each piece is produced in limited editions, without batch production, to reduce waste and ensure careful sourcing of materials.
Danieli draws inspiration directly from Ireland’s rich culture and its many contrasts. The current collection is inspired by Grace O’Malley, the renowned 16th-century Irish sailor. Fascinated by Grace’s use of knots and ropes to secure her boats, Danielli incorporates these nautical elements into Brog's designs. In each pair of shoes, knots and ropes are used as both functional and symbolic elements, echoing the support they once gave to sailors and now provide to the wearer.
