Project
MICAM Milano promotes the fourth edition of the EMERGING DESIGNERS project, the event area dedicated to 12 international footwear designers, selected through an innovative concept created in collaboration with Honegger company. In order to evaluate the applications of the international designers who have registered for the contest, a jury of fashion and communication experts has been formed, chaired by the designer Ernesto Esposito. For the 2020 contest the jury was composed by Eva Geraldine Fontanelli, Mauro Galligari, Angelo Lanza, Maximilian Linz and Riccardo Slavik. These professionals have been invited to express, each one according to their own work experience, an opinion about what is changing in fashion and communication.
In this way they gave their contribution to the final selection of 12 Emerging Designers. More than in any other sectors, we can state that in fashion everybody has always been able to adapt to the great changes of our current situation. The involved actors often predict some changes in different areas: climatic, social, economic, cultural etc. The designers selected by the jury established for the 2021/2022 editions of Emerging Designers will have access to a new renaissance scenario. Fashion will have the main task of inspiring and privileging creativity and innovation for the products that consumers will want to buy; through the purchasing choices, people will aim to strongly communicate their messages.

12 exhibit areas, identical but different; separated, but joined seamlessly together by arched portals and mirrored room dividers.
The use of multi-level display stands and reflective materials makes it possible for the rooms to look different every time you visit them.
The colours and shapes of the collections on display give each unit a personal touch and distinguish it from the others. Different reflections, different levels, different materials, white, silver: the only certainty a red dot. The target: the emerging designer, proud host and master of his stand.
