Jerelyn was born in India and moved to the UK to study. After having worked in the event industry for a few years, she found her true calling and she eventually moved to Italy where she studied footwear pattern making and shoe designing in Milan. Jerelyn designs all the shoes, made in Italy and Spain. She collaborates with Italian artisans on her women’s collections and Spanish artisans for her men’s collections. Jerelyn Creado shoes are made with the finest leather, and every shoe is designed and made keeping the clients in mind. For her first collection, only a limited number of shoes were produced, to ensure every design is exclusive and one off.
Her first collection was dedicated to all the strong and loving women in her life and each shoe is named after those women. For example, the shoe named Rose is named after her mother. Jerelyn also loves designing shoes for men. A well-dressed man is an epitome of elegance in her opinion and shoes play such an important part of that. As a designer, Jerelyn believes in using materials that are biodegradable like real leather. She works every day to be more mindful of our planet, not only professionally but also personally. Sustainability is not a passing trend, it should be a way of life in her opinion.
